I strongly urge South Tucson to adopt this dog protection initiative

I am the founder of Arizona Greyhound Rescue. In the past, I have worked very closely with the kennel operators. These animals are housed in rates and are forced to wear muzzles the entire time. Pressure sores and loss of hair were evident on the majority of animals we received. The facilities I viewed were nothing more than insulated sheds with inadequate heating and cooling. The animals had no access to water in their crates and 4D meat is what was fed to all the animals. Internal parasites were prevalent because of the inferior food. Tick fever was quite common because of infestations at the kennel. Every dog had to be professionally treated before entering our facilities. These new regulations would ease the difficult lives these animals endure. Please vote yes. Thank you.
